Step 1: Log in to your Root by Sudo app
To begin the process of funding your USD card, open your Root by Sudo app and log in to your account. If you do not have an account with Root by Sudo, you can sign up for one by downloading the app and following the prompts.
Step 2: Confirm you have sufficient funds in your Verve Naira Card
Before funding your USD card, ensure that you have sufficient funds in your default Verve Naira card to cover the amount you want to fund your USD card with. This is important because the funds will be transferred from your Verve Naira card to your USD card.
Step 3: Scroll to select the card you want to fund from your existing USD cards
After confirming that you have sufficient funds in your Verve Naira card, scroll through your Root by Sudo dashboard to select the USD card you want to fund.
Step 4: Click on the ‘Fund’ option
Once you have selected the USD card you want to fund, click on the ‘Fund’ option. This will take you to the next screen.
Step 5: Input the desired amount you want to fund your card with
Input the desired amount you want to fund your USD card with. The minimum amount that can be funded is $2 for USD cards. After inputting the desired amount, the exchange rate, service charge, and total debit amount in Naira will be displayed.
Step 6: Click on the ‘proceed’ button and your card will be funded
After reviewing the details, click the ‘proceed’ button to initiate the transaction. The amount in Naira will be deducted from your default Verve Naira card and the equivalent amount in USD will be credited to your USD card.
